Session 01– What It Is and Why We Need It

What This Session Teaches
True biblical change is more than changing outward behavior. It begins with the heart.
Sin leaves us rebellious, foolish and incapable of living as God intended. We were created to depend upon God, receive His truth, interprete life through His wisdom and live for His glory.
This session explores why lasting change must reach the heart. What we desire, worship and treasure shapes the way we respond to people, circumstances and God Himself. External change without heart change is temporary and cosmetic.
But the Gospel gives us hope. In Christ, the power of sin has been broken, the Holy Spirit dwells within believers, and we are united with Christ in His death and resurrection. God changes us so that we can increasingly live by faith, love and hope– and become instruments in His hands to help others change as well.

Lasting change requires root change,not merely changes in behaviour.

What rules the heart exercises an inescapable influence over our lives.
4. The war within the heart
Our desires compete for control,but believers have the resources of Christ and the Holy Spirit.
5. Becoming instruments of change
We are people in need of change helping people in need of change-learning to receive loving, honest help and becoming willing to help others.
